Pinto Beans

Also known as Red Mexican Beans, Pinto Beans are beige with reddish brown speckles. They resemble painted canvases; hence their name, which translates to “painted” in Spanish. They are the most highly consumed dry bean in North America. Pinto beans are most commonly used for refried beans and are also great in chilis, burritos and in a variety of Southwestern dishes.
