Decorticated Red Lentils
Decorticated Red Lentils have been cultivated for close to 10,000 years in the Near East. The name comes from its distinct shape – two lens-shaped sides – and their light red tint. They are slightly sweeter than regular lentils and cook faster. They can become mushy quickly, so they are best in soups and stews or in a variety of Dahl recipes.
