SERVES: Approximately 12
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 lb. Jack Rabbit Navy Beans
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1 tsp. dry mustard powder
- 1 tsp. Vinegar
- 2 c. ketchup
- ¼ c. molasses
- ¼ c. brown sugar, packed
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- Salt pork or bacon, as desired
PREPARATION:
- To prepare beans: Presoak and cook beans as directed. Drain, reserving cooking liquid.
- Preheat oven to 300°.
- Combine all ingredients into a pot. Add enough reserved bean water to cover the contents.
- Cover the pot and place in the center of a preheated 300° oven for 6 hours.
- Serve hot.
